Public framework / writing 2026

Season of Renewal

A public, versioned framework for leaving one chapter and finding the next—written while it was happening and revised when reality disagreed.

Public / evolving

The idea

A system for a human life must leave room for revision. The framework became more credible when reality changed its phases, timelines, and definitions of progress.

A framework built from inside the experience

Season of Renewal began during a planned sabbatical after leaving federal service. It developed through checkpoints, journal entries, changing plans, uneven recovery, abandoned goals, and the practical need to decide what came next.

The map changed with the territory

Early phases became overlapping practices rather than a clean sequence. Recovery took longer than expected. Building and tending coexisted. The transition into Waymaking did not resolve every option; it created a way to keep moving without forcing a premature identity.

Public history is part of the artifact

The framework is developed in public as a versioned repository. Its value is not a polished promise of transformation, but an inspectable record of a method being used, challenged, and revised by the person who made it.

What this work demonstrates

Evidence, not a capability list.

  • Written from inside the experience.

The source material spans dated entries from September 2025 through August 2026. The framework was consolidated after the experience had already begun.

  • Revised when reality disagreed.

A clean sequence became overlapping practices. Recovery took longer than planned, building and tending coexisted, and the framework changed to match.

  • Versioned in public.

The repository is part of the artifact. Earlier versions remain available beside the framework as it exists now.

  • Adaptable by someone else.

The phases and checkpoints are written to be lifted, revised, and used by another person facing a transition of their own.

Public boundary

The framework is offered as a lived tool and an evolving public artifact—not as clinical guidance, a universal sequence, or a finished theory of change.
